Baybayin Workshop with Habi Fair for Heritage Month
We were invited by Habi to conduct a Baybayin Workshop for Habi Fair in cooperation with Shangri-la Mall’s Heritage Month celebration.
Habi, The Philippine Textile Council, aims to promote “the preservation and creative enhancement of the indigenous textile industry through entrepreneurship and synergy.” We were added to the list of events and activities by their council to promote our heritage by way of our Baybayin workshop. The workshop welcomed both left-handers and right-handers alike. The workshop again traverses the history of Baybayin on a bigger stage on Shangri-la Mall. We taught our participants how to read and write Baybayin. To cap off the event, participants joined our speaker on stage to write their name in Baybayin script with brush and ink.
